Heard today that company is polling for voluntary severance in SW wireline region. Don't know about the other regions. Anyone else hear this?

They have to offer a VSB buyout before a surplus is declared!.....This is FACT.... you obviously don't know the contract and are trolling.....
I guess don't understand. Why would the company do that when all they have to do is declare surplus. Out of the goodness of there heart?... Ha, right!

Non management/Core Maint Splicer (mst) 85k total includes the 25k. More if you have more than 20yrs service
@1xwf- Are you management? If not, what is your job title? Does the $85,000 include the $25,000? Or is that in addition to?

It's a buy out from the company for people that are ready to retire. So many weeks per per yrs if service plus 25,000.00
Can someone familiar with the VSP in the labor agreement explain how this works? What are the specifics?
