CWA will finally settle for a contract that promises wage increases, and limited increases on the health insurance premiums. But watch out. T will start more layoffs of people after the contract is agreed to.

I left the T, and am much happier now.

CWA, such a waste of time. 22000 to strike but CWA is not even thinking of all the people that will NOT be out of work since COB Friday is off-duty for many members until normal work shift Monday morning. So, the only people hurting will be the ones needing to work the most over the weekend when most business is conducted. As for the company feeling that drop in revenue CWA is on crack. There are enough alternatives available for customers to get a new cell device, service contract via your Best Buy's, non-company stores etc. Just another posturing event akin to a toothless old crone that is blind and using a cane. CWA ---> S---S, taking sales and commissions from people that need it the most.

Scabs only need new car tires to make it to your mother's for the 2 for 1 freebie to help support you while you're too busy with your tire hobby instead of working, PAB. 😘

CWA are a bunch of old farts always talking about seniority and under performing yet first to use seniority as a means to reap benefits at the expense of their juniors. Last time this happened all the senior folks adjusted their work schedule to have days off on the strike days and made their younger people s--- up the loss of income that could least afford it. The Union Brotherhood my @??.

Oops, sorry folks, we need to push it to next Wednesday, I have a doctor's appointment. We will do it for sure then. Sorry for pushing this back. This is really important to all of us, but hey, things happen.

A 3-day strike will accomplish nothing. Come Monday it'll be BAU working without a contract. If you do it do it right .. do it for real. Agreeing to do this meaningless thing will further weaken the union in the eyes of the company.

A walk out is the SAME THING AS A STRIKE. It's called an economic strike, it is a set amount of time and IS covered by strike and union law. If they authorize this DO IT. Even if you don't picket spend the time with your family.

why not just call a strike?

I'd imagine a walkout isn't covered and would get people pointed

Be mindful that any walkout must be sanctioned by the International and NOT the local CWA organization or ATT can and may charge you with job abandonment. You will be considered to have surrendered your job. Think of how sweet that would be for the execs. Man up my a--- stupid is what they will call you. Not to mention what will you will be using to pay your mortgage when the SHTF. They pulled that sh!t in Chicago (IBEW) a few years back and you bet I walked in when I was scheduled. It was a long weekend for those who didnt work when they were scheduled and found out that the company was considering discipline. The company sure isnt as nice today as they were 10 years ago. THINK FOR YOURSELF.

LOL BIG DEAL. 3 day weekend. Not like it hasn't happened before. You'll need more than 24-72 hours to make an impact.
