Slamming

Do you think leadership cares if employees slam? or if they just turn a blind eye to it? Jetpacks, hums, tablets, HPC with rerates. T charts to confuse the customer. Bundles? I wonder if it's really frowned upon.

Even Directors know, and I've heard a conversation basically saying "do what you have to do, or I will find someone who will." (Director to GM). like many are saying its well known, just ignored. Verizon only cares when a rep goes 'too far' on the slamming so the company has to give a slap on the wrist so the company isnt liable. Only time something will occur is if enough people contact the media, and even then it may fall on deaf ears due to the fact that Verizon provides advertising revenue for many outlets.

Lmao, they love stuff getting slammed. More money for the big wigs (directors, area president, etc) .. they could careless. It's money and they love It. In our store, we were told not to use compass offers for growth. You can't Rob so and so to pay so and so. Well after getting our asses spanked and ripped apart and threatened pips. Guess what we are all doing now? Using compass credits for growth. It's going on everywhere. Pad them paychecks people. We try to play within the rules but our asses are all on fire. If this isnt proof that they turn a blind eye to sh--.... Check your district's zero usage report. Ive seen some stores or reps alone have 30 zero usage devices. What happens? Let's send em to winners circle or boost about how they made presidents cabinet. Real integrity like! Right? Lastly, who is the freaking genius who decided that having an option aka bundle sheet was the right thing? That person needs to be fired. That is not sales. That's bundle slamming. All Verizon cares about is that you hold your customer upset down by their ankles and make sure all the change falls out of the pockets. If the media ever got a hold of Verizon tactics...holy hell. Look out

@1ytw - wow you are a brain washed V Teamer. "Offering a total solution"? You really buy into that earn the right $hit?

There is no "total solution for a price" that benefits the customer out of a Verizon store. It's a complete scam and Verizon is a rip off.

Plans for far less with MVNO's. Accessories for pennies on the dollar online or at Walmart. Devices for far less online without the bull$hit payment plan.

Not getting bombarded with pull through crap Everytime you walk into one of these cell phone shops.

WHO NEEDS THESE WORTHLESS STORES? BE GONE ALREADY. I TELL EVERYOME I KNOW TO AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

Verizon is dead. Verizon retail is deader. Piss off.

Been in sales for 8 years. What you described is slamming if the customer doesn't know all the ins and outs and any information is withheld. If the products you offer are so great you shouldn't have to find ways to cover the cost or bundle the cost in hopes of misleading a customer. I make sure my clients I help are fully aware of everything being purchased and at the exact cost for everything and anything. No need to hide information or "bundle" products. I want them to be confident in their purchase that way they will return and give referrals.

Offering a total solution at a price is and customer agrees is sales, s--- it up , SS are not clerks its a sale job, disclosing everything is important but if they agree to cost then that is on them and your job to do and thats not slamming, its not the gap.speaking with confidence and writing everything out is key but still our job is to sell , otherwise get accessories on amazon etc

It's expected of you.

Sent us to training for the new ETR and not slamming products that aren't a good fit for our guests.

Back to the store the next day and those with no hums had to be on a call. It's bullcrap.

Telling customers they have to have products to be on a certain plan or telling them they can get all this stuff at this price and not letting them know what you're doing is slamming people and reps do that left and right. And don't come at me and say because it's sales it's acceptable. I work in another sales industry and I fully disclose everything for the customer. I don't hide costs or pricing or try to sneak products in and advertise it as needed.

@vmg - Customers can only be responsible for what they understand. Some of the sales pitches I have seen are borderline lies. If a customer doesn't know what they signed up for, it is on the sales person to be honest and explain everything.

Is that done 100% of the time? Nope....

Guys, Solutions Specialists are Sales Reps. Thats what they are paid to do. Thats why there is commission. No one (or very few) are lying or cheating. Customers have responsibility too. No one has a gun to their head saying "You have to buy this HUM". Thats what Verizon pays their SS's to do -- SELL.

A lot of you need to grow up.

They tell us not to do it but all of our top reps do it. They don't care.

Definitely not. At least in Florida.

Are you joking? Of course they don't care. The only way they would care is if it were a national news story. And even then they would try and BS their way out of it falling back on the "credo" etc...

It's not frowned upon at all. I've seen numerous reps doing that and reporting them leads to no results. You would think selling with integrity would be the way to go but nah gotta stuff those bags and turn a blind eye. I don't know how those people can sleep at night I just couldn't stomach those sales tactics
