Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

cust svc fatigue

I left on my own after 20 years. I still have wireless and uverse as a customer but it is nauseating to call in for help. I tried to place an order for wireline services and it was horrific. 8 weeks later, still no install date. I called in this am about a billing issue on my wireless and in that five minute conversation, the rep asked me four times about ordering direct tv. I told her my hoa doesn't allow dishes and her answer was "well, you can put the antenna in a bucket with concrete in your back yard". I loved working there where I spent most of my career in the wireless side but now that I'm on the other side as a customer with multiple services with att, it's painful.

ATT in the past years has made the job unbearable. It's absolutely horrible how management tells you to shove all these products down customers throats. There have been many, many of my friends that have lost their job due to being targeted for not making the sales they want. They preach integrity, but they don't mean it. They have fired everyone that had integrity in our office. AT&T is the one causing customers to leave and go elsewhere. No one wants to be harassed every time they have to call about a bill. Soon there won't be enough employees and all will lose their job I suppose.

If the customers are unhappy and leave, that impacts our job security and increases the possibility of layoffs.

What does this have to do with layoffs?
