Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T cares not

This place will steal your soul. They don't give a a sh-- about providing quality service to legacy POTS and DSL customers. I deal with this crap on a everyday basis. They come out with some crap little blue book called "Our Promise". I like the little blue book. It promotes the way customers should actually be treated. Buzz phrases such as "Take ownership". "Provide a total resolution" and such. But, this is all b---s---. If you take the time to do this, you are screwed with your manager, They just want to process the call as fast as possible, and send the customer away as fast as possible. This company really S---S under Randall the Vandal. Whitaker was the real deal.

This happens all the time now in the west! We used to stay out late or do a call out for older customers/medical emergency ! Now those people are out of service for weeks being told that's the first we can get to you!

When I get the tkt I ask how long they have waited? Sad the T can do this to the people that have had service for 40-50yrs with us!!

☹️

And the numbers are only short term numbers. An analogy is your house. A roof leak, it costs money to fix, so you put it off. Roof continues to leak, more and more damage. Suddenly problems arise, it costs big bucks. Your hope is to pawn off the house to some poor sap who will discover later the problems. (Of course then you have all sorts of disclosure laws that you've violated and you're in trouble.). Randy boy has been ignoring maintenance on this company for years, making cash flow look good. Of course now the roof is about to cave in. He will bail, using his golden parachute and fortunately for him, there are no disclosure laws to hold him accountable. He walks away a rich man, happy, with the morals of a snake.

That is correct, it also happened to me.

Their Digital Life conversion kit went down at my home; therefore, no security. The best they could do was 2 weeks. How can anyone justify paying a premium for a security service that does not work, even if one does not pay while the service is down. They are selling security and protection, not hot dogs. I called many times to complain and threatened to cancel since I am at end of 2 year cancellation agreement, it would be cheaper to cancel than pay monthly fee. I researched other services in the area and called to say that I was in fact cancelling. Only then they agreed to send in a tech 3 days later. My guess is they are under strict instructions not to spend money to service customer.

What is more important, an 88 year old woman being safe or Randy's bonus?

I know an 88 year old lady that has a land line with T(no cell phone) Her service went down on a Sunday 3 weeks ago. She went to a friend's house and when they finally got someone to help them, they were told a tech would come out to check the problem on Wednesday. Her friend asked if they were going to leave this lady with no service for 4 days, she was told "that's the best we can do" This happened in Charlotte, NC---UNBELIEVABLE!

The T only cares about the 💰💰 until the customers have alll left from the sh--ty treatment they have endured!! That's why buss pots customers wait weeks out of service for repairs! And a Uverse/dtv install gets same day service.....sad way to treat people.

AT&T does not care about customer service. Before my final day, one of my peer area managers was talking with his director about cuts that were going to happen in his organization. The manager was opining about how customer service was going to suffer greatly with these cuts. His director stated that this was pointed out to his VP on a conference call with his directors, and the VP stated that they had literally been told by their EVP that AT&T didnt care about customer service, customer service only costs money, does not make money. Of course, a lack of customer service service will eventually cost money by losing customers, as mobility can prove. But then, Randy boy will bail with his golden parachute and all will be well with him. Stockholders and employees will be left with a failing company.

Having an opinion is not crying, this poster complains about the way our customers are treated and lied to. This seems like a legitimate comment, telling someone to shut up because they don't pick one of your two options, quitting or acting like a T management flunky is nonsense.
