New Comp Plan Coming Soon

Rumor has it that a new sales comp plan will be launching soon. It sounds like top performers will be impacted the hardest. It almost seems as if leadership is trying to run off the best talent?

Trial in the northeast. Looks like a csok pay structure. Commission only with an average of 50-55k/year.

@1nzz how does being able to tell that you don't make money mean I sound like an idiot. You're obviousit jealous of retail employees and that must stem from the fact that since you can't make over 65k then you don't believe retail employees should. You should really go back to school or something if you want to make a livable income because it's quite obvious to everyone that you probably didn't do much after high school.

I think that people are disgruntled with the company and for good reason, but I feel that if you were affected by the RIF's then let life go on. My store was affected and I decided to transfer to another location. For me it was not a good decision. Before I relocated I saw the writing on the wall and exited the company on my own merits after 13 years. I will be the first to say that it wasn't easy, but not a day goes by that I don't notice how much happier I am out of the life of retail. If people want to stay, that's their choice. If they want to leave thats great too.

3fvs, you're the smartest one posting here. You acknowledge you get decent pay. You're making yourself more marketable in your next position, whether at Vz or elsewhere. Finally, you aren't embracing the toxic cloud cast by former employees or those soon to be and the union trolls. Keep up the positive attitude, make the best of what your situation offers & prepare for Change. Goodness knows the rest of these people aren't doing that & you'll be far ahead before they figure it out!

At a B level store I made 65k in 2015. Split a B and A level store I made 70k. this year I'll probably make mid 60s again. Had 2 bad months but I Windfalled in May and will get close again this month. That being said, I'm working on my Masters and I'm almost done. Just in case things go south but for now I don't see a reason to bounce yet.

More like a CLERK job. Good opportunity for a 20 year old going to college, but nothing more.

Verizon is a horrible company to work for get off the cool-aid. The fact that 75% of the employee's have some sort of mental or stress related issues should say something.

And stop saying retail, this is a sales job don't kid yourself and 60k to 80k a year for a SALES job is about avg.

1 out of every 20 makes over 60k at Verizon if you're lucky. Again think about how much more you would make if you just did sales which is what you were hired to do.

If you're good at sales take your skills elsewhere to a company that will appreciate your skills and abilities more.

What the heck is a sour grape? Is that when your solution manager bit¢hes you out in the inventory room for not slamming 4 accessories and a pull through?

Don't worry there will be plenty more elderly customers to su¢ker so you can finally buy your matching diamond stud earrings at Kay's Jeweler.

@1nzz is the same sour grapes person complaining and insulting people in practically every thread on the board.

He is also the same brainwashed loser who posts his foolish political theories such as that corporations are always superior to the Govt. even though it was in fact a US Govt. defense program that created the internet, while Verizon created go90!

You don't have to be Sigmund Freud to make some easy conclusions about this guy. His need to boast and insult online is likely driven by his deep feeling of inadequacy.

Get some therapy @1nzz!

To all the retail employees... yes Verizon will screw your over any chance they get. Don't listen to these idiots on here that think they are better. They're obviously trying way too hard to make themselves feel relevant. Those are the ones that need to stay in the toxic Verizon BS culture. All the positive & hardworking retail employees: At the end of the day you are way too good for Verizon! There are much better opportunities out there waiting for you!

@1hiv - you sound like a retail idiot thinking you know how much I make. When you retail bone heads lose your jobs don't worry, if you are lucky Walmart will take you for $15 an hour.

Of course all retail jobs days are numbered. What stores are left will be completely automated. Good luck...

Too bad all of you are so stupid you spend all your commission checks on ghetto cars with big shiny wheels and have 5 different babies daddies.

@ioq self-esteem meaning you have no confidence in yourself. You make less money than retail employees and yet feel the need to go online and attempt to berate them, that shows a lack of self confidence. I agree, some of those reps are scum and just rip people off. You bought yours online but many people don't prefer that. Maybe you should consider a job in retail, it will drastic pay bump for you even as reps aren't making as much as before.

Every year you're expected to sell more

Every year you're expected to do more

Every year you're expected to work more

Reps wear the hat of several different job titles and are still expected to hit numbers and get paid less?

What's the incentive to stay???

Other companies will gladly pay more and treat you better. Why work harder not smarter?

What does self esteem have to do with saving money retail turd?

Make sure you slam those hums and jetpacks. And keep s---ering people into paying $30 for a car charger they can get online for $2.99.

It's Saturday. Get back to work making Lowell rich conning people while I enjoy my weekend.

@nkn You should start your own wireless phone company since you know so much, you could market online to other haters like yourself. But even that wouldn't solve your obvious self-esteem problems.

Why they pay people commission on something that sells itself is beyond my comprehension. I bought my phone and service online and no one got commission.

They should just pay store employees the same as Walmart employees.

If you think that comp plan changes are ever going to be favorable, you would be wrong.

New comp plans come every year and they are never for the better. The upgrade comp change last year has cost me over 10k just these first 6 months of 2017.
