So once this contract here in the west get signed you are going to see major layoffs/surplus on technicians. My question is, are they going to base it on seniority or performance? I for one would like to make it performance.

It's not by performance and I hope you aren't working extra hard hoping to get preferential treatment lol. It's seniority starting at the bottom.
Depends on your contract. I know many who feel as you do, but my understanding in our contract is everything is done by seniority.
