Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

RAEs

Funny how when we got the call, the HR script read by our VPGM was "in order to best serve our partners and customers". I've kept in contact with almost all of my folks from national and local...they're hurting for support, attention and knowledge. Guess the company thought they didn't need it.

RAES who did their job and picked up the phone 7 days a week did really help the business. They were a fix it line of defense that could really keep an eye on customer escalations and issues at the retail level. should have had corporate run through mycoach (not at the market level who play favorites or blinded by BS) and fire the worst offenders and then thinly spread the rest of the RAEs. could have made it a legacy job to support more and more stores as the demand slowed but announce they wouldnt layoff anyone dediciated and doing their jobs but not hire any new ones.

Getting rid of RAE's was a terrible decision and even worse was to put that function onto an area manager with no experience in the world of Authorized Retail. Turnover rate in authorized is always high therefore you need a good support structure to either keep the good ones and help support the new ones. Results will speak for themselves after a full year of no proper support structure. Sad!

No decline in sales? LMFAO. I've seen the MyResults screenshots my old ARSM sends me. Numbers don't lie.

Wireless growth is stagnant.... The market is saturated! Even little kids have cell phones it's a joke ....more to their ADD issues playing on a stupid phone all day

No one cares. RAE's were just another causality in the ongoing restructuring and downsizing of wireless. Growth is long gone and it is now just another ho hum business.

Most RAE's were bums anyways and worked maybe 30 hours a week? It was good while it lasted, but you can't milk that cushy job forever. Why do you think RAE turnover was so low? That's right, because they were milking it. Peace out! Walmart is hiring!

I'm a former RAE who left on my terms before the slaughter and I STILL get calls from my old stores. The ARSMs aren't doing anything to help them, so the AR personnel just send everyone to COR. HMMM...where are they gonna send them when they close down COR? I could care less what happens to anyone anymore but company should have hung onto the RAEs who actually worked. ARSM support is a joke.. they use AR as an excuse to not visit COR and vice versa- nice life- stay home all day and collect a nice check. Waste some more money while they lay off hard working people- I hope they go next

One of my biggest producers of numbers say that they don't even hardly sell AT&T anymore because of the lack of support they receive. TROC has their reps so thinly spread out that it's impossible to support anyone. Visits once a month in most cases and no phone calls on Sunday and Monday.
