@mhn: the "long timers" are only still around because the company won't hire replacements not because they're skilled. 1/2 of them on my team don't know the first thing about fiber and have no intention to learn. I get along with my boss real well he b--ches to me more than I b--ch about the lazy a-- old techs on his team.
To "wdh" with the cry baby emoji, that pretty much suits you and all like minded, short sited people. You simply can't think past what affects you in the here and now. You will be there one day, that is, if your attitude doesn't sabotage your mouth and put your on a surplus list.
Over the years those long timers got to that status by volunteering to do the extra assignment, showing their value, climbing the extra pole and NOT whining. If they need a bucket to complete the job, why does that matter to you anyway!
You have no clue what medical conditions they are dealing with, either now or the past, the broken bones, strained or torn muscles that have taken their toll that necessitates the need for a bucket truck. You don't know because, unlike you, they do their job, they don't whine and become that "long timer." Bosses appreciate that.
Chances are if you're complaining here, your boss gets an earful play on the job....better you become appreciated yet invisible, the the people you cry about.
Funny us old timers will still be here when you get surplused by the T.... we earned our time you will have to do the same
So sad,in my workcenter half of techs are In perpetual light duty, I have. 21 years with the company and I don t see things getting better for junior techs
Lots of the core techs I work with are old, lazy, and have to wait on bucket trucks instead of climbing poles. 😂

Specifically the TFS ("core") techs. I work with them every day. Most make six figures and they're still miserable! Prem Techs on he other hand are much easier to work with.
You guys layed down and gave away Core mst work to prem techs in other regions!
