I got out of the union long ago. It is a task to do though. You can only leave during a certain time period of the year. And it all has to be sent certified mail to the proper address'. The (CWA3204) union here in Ga S---S!!! Glad I stopped giving them $$ ...

Numerous coworkers of mine and I got out of the union several years ago, when it was evident that no matter how the union members voted, the union would still not strike, and would continue to agree to crappy contracts. I have over 30 years service, and I sure wish I had all that money back that I paid into the union!!

So many idiots posting on here. This site is so unbelievable sometimes.

The union is welcomed and needed to help make these companies run.

It's really like having Republicans and Democrats working together. it is a much better relationship that just a 1 sided party.

If you are going to troll the site, at least make it believable. There is no union on the planet that only charges $ 17 a month in dues. It's usually close to 2 hours of your hourly wage a month which equates to much more. FYI..... the dues I pay are well worth it for the protection the Union provides from the monster AT&T can be at times.

Depending on your state you can opt out giving union dues. Many argue that it makes the union weaker which is partly true .. I guess it'd make me weak too if I couldn't charge my plane tickets, meals, and hotels to the union coffers.
