Randy, you just keep repeating yourself about the union. Do you have a yearly goal to badmouth the union or does it just give you pleasure to suggest that everyone let T completely control their wages and benefits?
The company will pay you to further your knowledge and education, why don't you take advantage of that and be prepared for the future? Also, the Union is made up of all kinds of people, not just people like yourself. If you are negative then others will see you as a negative union employee. Which it sounds like you are. Why don't you try resigning from the union as it would be better if you did. I choose to be positive and try to help others that are facing adversity to feel that there is hope and that others do care.
I wish T would offer a buyout package to all the old folks with 30+ years. I have "only" 18 years with the Company and I have to worry about my future every quarter. We have 2 techs in our group with 43 and 45 years service. They both have said they will not retire because they have "nothing else to do" Both have payed off their houses and cars. LOL
Whatever, the luck tones 20+ seniority, all others will be disposed
ST = Services Tech (not Splicing Tech)
What is TFS, ST, FT mean? Is this Uverse Techs
TFS = Technical Field Services
Depending on your region or when you started with the company:
ST = Splicing Tech
FT = Facility Tecch
U-verse Techs in the SE I believe are still called "Wire Techs", Premise Techs ("PT") everywhere else.
I wonder why The union can't stop layoffs every quarter, is this the reason we pay dues?
Junior techs, time to cry... unfortunately the union base belongs to the old and sick, and you- are the expendable ones... What a deal.... Keep paying dues! LOL
