Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Is AT&T on its way down?

This article just came out for investors. Basically, AT&T bit more than it can chew and Moody is thinking of downgrading AT&T more.

Too you who thanked me for the compliment for insinuating that you must be randy, either that proves that you're a company shill, or you're dumber than a box of hammers. No one with any intelligence would consider a comparison to that robber baron to be a compliment.

AT&T filled less than 40% of the 40,000 jobs with internal candidates. And the company estimates that only 140,000 people are undergoing at least some sort of development that will prepare them for a new job, where are the others 130,000?,,,, Randall Stephenson said . “But who can transition their talent at scale as the technology changes?” That’s the more important question for both AT&T and the American workforce writ large. The answer, says the CEO, will be the difference between growth and obsolescence.

A version of this article appears in the March 15, 2017 issue of Fortune.

That article is a bunch of giber nonsense. The writer needs to have a better understanding of AT&T's drive, passion and dedication. Risky is AT&T's middle name. I gotta AT&T doesn't cherry pick the easy task and profit from them. They are the frontiers in revolutionizing telecomunication. I have no doubt thay AT&T will accomplish what they set out to do, we deliver! It is a shame it is at such a high price of job loss and due to migration but those are global issues that are universal. Ever wish you bought google stock? People shouldn't be worried about loosing their job they should be preparing for a transformation.

speculation is... the genius of discovery...that does not invents, innovates or creates something from nothing, Using Commonsense Knowledge this company did start a story, to MAKEBELIEVE all of us of how the future content would look, and in an attempt to continue that story with PR campaigns of events that might never, this is what AT&T does, this does not relates to innovation, a term that could easily by used by AT&T's CEO

AT$T will be in $200B worth of debt if this TW deal goes through. How much money do we need to spend to start making money? Now we get word that T will start moving U-verse TV customers to DirecTV or DirecTV now both services are sh-- compared to U-verse when it works as designed (i.e. No network/line issues)
