Our cleaning service was terminated by AT&T today. Is this trending throughout the company?

I am in the SER, and much like another poster stated, they have replaced the contracted company with Kimco. When the previous contractor was replaced, they of course stopped paying the various local cleaners, and told them to turn in their keys. Now Kimco has come, picked up the key, and there are new cleaners. We still have the same schedule, but new people cleaning, which is unfortunate because I actually liked our previous cleaners (after having fired half a dozen different ones). I'm sure the change has to do with saving money due to consolidating to all one company, getting a better rate, etc. I wish I had more control over this in my location, but, Kimco is in 48 states and if you have over 2000 locations to clean, which we do, obviously even a few dollars per week per location really adds up -- of course they're going to make a change. Of course, none of this has anything to do with layoffs...

Less people requires less cleaning services and AT&T is going to layoff about 3 to 4 thousand people per quarter until 2020.
Im my bulding toilet paper is replaced until it is completely gone, batteries for the soap and paper towel dispenser are not replaced until they are dead, they no longer vacuum, and trash is picked up twice a week instead of daily.
I know for a fact since i approved janitorial invoices in my location, the cleaning crew only does what att pays them for and nothing extra....its not the janitorial that is the issue, its cheap-as*ed att!
So to anyone not in the know, they have been reanalyzing cleaning/landscaping service contracts in 2016 to see if they can get better deals and are analyzing which companies are getting high ATT satisfaction ratings and which ones are not
someone sent out a warning about this happening in early 2016. many leaks on this site are 100% true even though there are paid trolls and attention seekers spreading disinfo.
If they gave me a cleaning differential I would be more than happy to come and clean
Maybe they are only doing what the company pays them to do? Just a thought.
I clean my store cuz the cleaners don't do anything, I've had so many different crews cuz I keep complaining about them but they still don't do anything, don't even vacuum or wipe anything down or wash floors, they throw all our trash on the ground outside, useless, so I clean, I should get paid for what these useless lazy people are supposed to do.

I noticed my place looking like a dump and my RSM doing the cleaning one day. I asked him if ole T canned them. He said no. He did because they weren't doing their job. Saw him vacuuming and washing windows recently. Find it odd... southeast

Probably just the bean counters flexing their muscles. A couple of years ago a T office complex stopped the landscaping services and the grass got 18 inches high after no service for almost 2 months.
It makes you proud to work for a company that scrimps on regular maintenance but pays it's execs outrageous amounts of money.
