You'd be surprised how many areas u-verse is still not available in. I'm pretty sure T has given up on installing new VRADs unless it's for fiber.

I worked there. We knew back in 2011 the writing was on the wall and most of us left that office. I don't feel bad for those who stayed I warned quite a few that are now effected.
AT&T Services Inc. plans to close its DSL Care Center in downtown Detroit and lay off 53 employees there, according to a notice filed with the state. The Detroit call center will shut down around May 19, The company is also shutting down call centers in Metairie, La., and Shreveport, La., affecting an additional 66 workers.
