The RIF coming this fall will be very large! Now is the time to prepare resumes and start searching the job sites. Nobody should think they are exempt from a RIF happening to them.

Yeah but the union jobs are all pretty low paying anyway (I mean i know the union people get paid a lot compared to other companies, but even so they are still blue collar jobs that pay blue collar wages.
I've never understood why union people come on message boards bragging about their union contracts when they jobs they have and the pay they receive are poor people job/wages.
Funny how the higher paying/upper class people are concerned about losing their jobs but the poors have union protections that basically protect low class job wages.
If you think it's likely you'll be RIF'fed and you've been with the company 10 or more years I would highly recommend staying until you get your walking papers. The severance I've heard they are paying out is really good.
