IT not invited to requirements meetings. How can you build something if not involved!
Very important for business to include IT in planning.
The business used to understand IT and how it worked with eFollett. What happened?
The business does not prioritize eFollett project requests, and we get many number one priorities which sets the team up for failure. The business does not understand IT and its complexities.
If you are looking for a model of how best to feed people some steaming fresh horseshit, you could not possibly do better than this. The secret to good horseshit, you see, is that you want it to taste like horse colon, yes, but with a spicy hint of disdain. Horseshit is never meant to fool anyone. It exists purely for its own sake, more as an exercise in aesthetics than anything, a sort of wet, hay-thickened amuse bouche. Horseshit is not a lie, it is a gift; in place of a lie, the acknowledgement that you don’t even owe your victims an explanation that approaches the truth. It’s all much better this way. You can feel magnanimous, and the folks taking big bites of your horse apples can really savor that scorn while they pack their things and hit the street.
"helped them transform, from an old state college bookstore company to a dynamic and constantly evolving education service provider"? That whole two-paragraph blurb is the biggest load of crap I've read in a while. But I'd expect nothing less from the orator or the company. Pathetic liars.
SS has been looking for a new job for three years..his talents of cutting, outsourcing, and FTE moral killing is a proven failure (by evidence of his unsuccessful job hunt). Time to take the trash out...its beginning to stink.
Legends in their own minds.
LOL If you tell a lie so many times you begin to believe it as truth. In the link "In addition, helping them enhance their in-store shopping experience with Infosys’s state-of-the-art POS system, ushering in an experience driven strong domain knowledge, and best practices in retail". Certainly the line fed to the board of directors, but in reality 15 mil buys you a 5 store deploy 4 years into it.
He says a lot without really saying anything. Impressive.
Great interview!
