Anyone hearing of layoffs in the legacy MCI division of VZB. Had heard it could hit both management and non-management employees.

Actually, it is the non-MCI leaders running this place into the ground. Part of the pain I've been seeing is legacy MCI people who knew what they were doing being dumped for a new crop of people who really don't have a clue and then don't stick around long enough to learn. End result is decisions by their managers to reduce the workload down to their level and dumb down this whole place. Long term impact? We'll see. Maybe it's all for the best. Maybe this place doesn't need people who've been around and know how things work.
MCI management should have no place in this company, they have never learned to tell the truth. Still fudging numbers, and asking techs to lie on their behalf. Dangerous bunch of thieves.
Since there is no division of MCI and Verizon telecom employees in VzB, that would be quite impossible to single out fMCI employees. Your question should be aligned with organizations within VzB since there are many. And there is always a possibility of this occurring since everyone is susceptible to being rif'd when not a member of the union.
Majority of those people should have been axed years ago. Now we have the remnants of those two outstanding companies running Wireline into the ground. And this Je Ruso guy, he's downright dangerous.
