Just got the notice. RSS position is phased out. Severance package is 2 months pay. We have 1 month to find a new position within the company

Our RSS is here going on as usual but not our GM. Curious to see if any of this is founded. Still early.
The layoffs are TRUE! I already know one manager that was let go today in the Pacific Market. So for those who don't believe it is happening, you're in for a rude awakening. This person had no corrective action and over 10 yrs of experience including a GM and SM. No one is safe especially if you make a lot hourly and have been with the company for a while. Good luck all.

I call BS. In another thread there is almost this identical post with a few tweeks. In the other the parentheses has an RSS who is not getting fired.
I don't think I'm firing anyone today (I'm a GM), because my boss actually said if I didn't want to fire people it was no big deal, they'd "give the sign-off" (their words, not mine) when they got back from vacation next weekend. Something tells me there would have been a different choice of words if I was supposed to fire people.
Also, my reps (whoever is still left anyway) would probably unionize if I fired a bunch of them, since I actually give them sh!t for proactively making calls, or apologizing for naked phones. I'm not lazy, I just don't like pestering people who are already smart enough to realize what they sell or not IS their paycheck and mine. They have 3 other managers for that.
