Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Ya Wanna Save Money Verizon??

Tell the Assistant and General Managers to stop issueing OCC credits out to customers when their shady reps slam people's accounts with hums, jetpacks, and tablets. Then treat ethical reps like sh--, who live the "credo" that Verizon promotes.

Layoff or better yet fire these reps and hold them accountable for their actions for SCREWING YOUR customers and wasting account credits for this type of b---s---.

You dont need to pay VLSS members triple digit salaries to figure this stuff out. Its US "uneducated" retail employees who know the business better then most management and upper echelon executives combined who get paid ridiculous salries to fly around in luxury cars and work 9-5 M-F. Do you NOT know what happens in the stores?? GET KNOWLEDGEABLE!!!! If you do, well then SHAME ON YOU!!!

Management, starting with DM are the ones pushing for Rep to do these types of shady transactions, either you do it or you get fired.

couldn't have said it better!!

Verizon isn't making money because they want us to push gross adds and hit ridiculous quotas (ethically) when really all reps do is find savings in a plan and give them something else to make them pay the same price. On top of discounting and OCCs to make up for the cost for something the customer DOESNT NEED OR WANT... so the monthly revenue stays the same for the account, and they just shell out OCCs for credits. But we're selling gross adds right? We're growing the business right? No, were falsifying growth and customers are learning and are starting to finally ask questions and avoid taking ANYTHING additional then what they came in for. Not one person I know who was laid off in the fall, or thinks they are getting laid off tomorrow is upset. THAT should tell you something. I've been with the company for 6 years and I only stay because of vacation/benefits but if they didn't boot me I'd never leave, so they're gonna do me a favor and pay me for it too? Where do I sign??? F--- this place 😉 Good luck everyone, see you on the outside!!

Thats some next level shady ,a jetpack to power a tablet both connected. Real crummy that reps do thatcand cant be truthful. Im all for maximizing value and pay but not to delibrately screw somone over with redundency, i have sold ofr almost 15 year and have no desire for mgmnt role, but when i hear shady stuff like that itvannoys me and makes us all look bad. Im proactive and disclose but i also sell and make cust aware of cost breakdown, never said to customer if you want certian plan you have to do something. The only close to that example is when a customer has offers avail i will not jost give them to the customer if they are not asking for them. Anyone who blows up their spot giving an non requested discount is a fool, always leverage , its ypur livelyhood . Your not there to babysit a consumer your

there to make your employer a profit which thus makes you one. Profit isnt a dirty word!

We have issues with them discounting account to close the sale... And if discounting is to high they will offer a back end credit.

See way to many times where a customer comes back and says... In order to get the new unlimited plan you have to get this Hum... When management is informed they just shake their head land say wow.. Nothing is done..

To the scholar below, the OP was highlighting the fact that most of your heavy hitters in VZW have to use deception to pump out 150+ adds consistently in a 22 day period. If you don't agree, fine. But I'd say you've obiously never seen a rep sell a new Jetpack to power a new Tablet in the same transaction. It's not a secret. Verizon rewards it. And wolf of Wall Street s---ed.

Offering a solution with a total cost for the customer who agrees to cost per month is not an integrity issue its a sale job for christs sake, were not clerks were there to make money regardless of what guilt you may feel, the job is to take their money and make it your money . If you offer someone a cost and they say ok , THATS YOUR JOB . The key is then breaking down the cost to set expectations for their billing because thats the issue , reps dont break down where the cost comes from , thats where the presentation and the delivery. WATCH WOLF OF WALL STREET YOU PU.SS.IES

When those reps are making 60% of the store quota, managers will put up with it. If push comes to shove and some customers actually blows up they will just throw the rep under the buss and claim ignorance. Seen it happen in all carriers, this is all about money in the end. The credo is a joke.

Sounds like a leadership issue.

If you let top tier reps run stores, thats how sh-- happens. They need to be put in line, and it starts with your DM. Even with top tier reps pumping out windfall+ contracts a month, they know they will get thrown in the grinder if they generate b---s--- like that.

No rep should be exempt from accountability, period.

They wont stop because despite the complai ts and returns these reps still generate a sh--load more of revenue than honest reps. For every 10 hums they slap in account 2 to 3 come back at best. A 30% return ratio is way better than a 30% attach rate from an honest rep.
