DM/ Floater

Any word on the DM/Floater spots? I'm honestly hoping I wake up to mine gone tomorrow. Not sure if it's like this in every area but mine doesn't do anything. Brings no value to the company. He came from indirect and doesn't understand retail. He could never do my job. Never deal with the back of the store operations. If I'm walked out tomorrow the only satisfaction I will have is if my DM is gone. I swear the only thing he is good at is eating on the company's dime and telling dumb jokes

I don't think I'm getting fired (I'm an floater), because my boss actually said to enjoy my vacation, and they'd "give me the rundown" (their words, not mine) when I got back next weekend. Something tells me there would have been a different choice of words if I was getting axed.

Also, my managers (whoever is still left anyway) would probably unionize if I got the boot, since I actually leave them all alone. I'm not lazy, I just don't like pestering people who are already smart enough to realize what their sell or not IS their paycheck and mine. They have other people in Spark for that.

Our float never did anything either other then play politics. When his position was eliminated he couldn't get anything he interviewed with at vzw. They moved him to GM and he quit a month or two later. Seems like he saw the writing on the wall and got some of his buddies out at the same time

Sounds about par for the course. 3 years and 5 FMs and I've had 2 good ones, 1 of which is now a DM.
