Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Is HR accepting Volunteers for RIF? I'm a long tenured B2B sales rep that is not being impacted by today's layoffs but I would gladly volunteer.

Any thoughts and ideas are welcomed and appreciated on ways to volunteer for RIF with severance package.

No need to be rude. There are no stupid questions. Besides, if OP could have volunteered, that could have maybe saved someone's job today. In a future, I suggest you to check the site rules, personal insults not allowed here. Admins delete your messages and block you.

@gen - Yeah I know that. I got laid off from Verizon awhile back and there were folks who volunteered to leave but HR wouldn't let them. These people could have saved some jobs for people who wanted to stay. Nothing stupid about that question at all. I also know people who volunteered and they DID get a package.

Stupid questions deserve rude answers. People are losing their jobs today who want to work for Verizon. And then some schmuck posts that they want a free handout so they can leave. asinine...

Why can't people just answer questions without being rude???

B2B does not get a RIF package. You get a higher quota and fired or moved to WBG and made so miserable you quit.

Volunteer? Just quit! Leave! Your free to go. Bye...

No way, they'll be happy to let you stay and get fired or quit without having to give you severance
