Some one please explain!

How do they pick who to lay Off?

They get rid of the hard workers and keep the sh_t ones.

Maybe they should look around and get rid of the ones who are outside smoking all day or the ones sitting around doing nothing!

Not privy to their logic, but after 20 years I have seen a number of layoffs. In the past you could easily see the logic behind who was let go. Generally the performance issues were obvious. These layoffs have been different. It has been striking the number of long term, high performing employees who were laid off. It started with people who had been here 30 years or more and has worked down to the point where 20 years seems to be the danger point. Can I prove that? No. I do not have a smoking gun, but the observation stands.

What a useless company. CW and his group need to find the nearest garbage can and jump inside because that is where they belong. I am so glad I left that dump. Love my new 40 hour work week, amazing benefits, better health, good pay and stress free job. People need to wake up and stop hanging around and find another job.

They out everyone's names on and paper toss them on the floor. Then they pull down there pants and take a crap. Whoever it lands on is gone and HR gets to wipe.

Myself and another were younger guys and picked I believe because of our health issues. Partly that were caused by work.

In the past they've targeted middle termed people for lay off. You can dump them and not pay out too much severance. Employees with 20 years or more of service to the company were targeted for abuse. Their severance would be too expensive. They're abused until they make enough mistakes to justify firing them, or they quit. No severance. They'll cut short termed full time people to part time. They take part time and make them seasonal (stripping benefits). They're not nice people.

It appears to me that they are targeting older workers regardless of productivity. I've also seen what appears to be targeting of individuals with health problems. The rest are just cover for getting rid of older workers.
