Retail sales consultants will be in high demand this week at AT&T's open house hiring event in Huntsville.

The telecommunications provider, which employs 6,000 Alabamians, will host a career fair from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at 4929 University Drive, Suite G, in Huntsville. Spokeswoman Catherine Stengel said about 15 part-time jobs are available.

AT&T said the effort reflects its continued investment in Alabama.

"AT AT&T, we want to make sure we are providing our customers with a high-level of service they have come to expect," Dave Hargrove, AT&T Alabama External Affairs, said in a statement. "We're investing in our networks and people as part of that commitment. We're glad to welcome more Alabama residents to the AT&T family."

AT&T said part-time retail sales employees who reach their goals can earn $35,390 on average during their first year. To apply for the position, visit http://work.att.jobs/huntsvillerscpt2017.

Workers receive a full benefits package, which includes medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k), tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and more.
