VZW paid me to leave at 63 years old...20+ years. With the severance, vacation and un-employment I haven't missed a check yet and look forward to 'sliding' into retirement. Others left in the department just waiting for a similar deal and will RUN out the door as I did.

Whoever said folks are not running at 63 is misinformed. Less competition though. Easier to win your age group in a race than a 30 yo. lol. U make me laff.

Where you in sales? Do you know if they are offering that same deal to B2B sales reps that have long tenure with the company, even if my particular work group is not being impacted by the layoffs? Do you know if someone can volunteer for that exit package?
