Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

For Sale by Owner

When you look at this puzzle palace called Verizon, and eyeball the broader picture past the wireless stores or Fios footprint, it becomes evident that LoMac is setting up VZ for a garage sale. Think about it.; Revenue are declining Q/Q, and Marni’s world is not stepping up fast enough; pressures in WLS will continue to hamper any future growth prospects; unproven 5G internet access is years away; keeping and growing the fiber based Fios footprint in NE; GO90 is just a mid life crisis for old farts creating a tech toy for the kids; connecting 50+ cities with Tbit fiber across the country with XO and One Fiber, buying AOL and Yahoo’s customer base, is all fertile ground for for LoMac to ask Google to buy us. Its all a perfect match for Google except perhaps the Wireless business which they could sell off in a heartbeat. Either Google, or have lunch with Elon Musk, and drop the hint that he could beat Google to the high speed market just by signing a check.

Mark my words kids, its gonna happen…

Buy the debt?? You mean payoff the debt. Google = cash.... 5g may be close at hand, but implementing it for profitable internet access? Sweeet dreams my friend!

Yeah but you forgot about the $110 billion in debt McDumbass has racked up. Who is going to want to buy all that debt?

This company is a shambles, I have never seen more successive screw ups in my life. First grab Vodaphones half of wireless, boom, there $50 billion in debt, then start buying old crappy internet companies and while your at it, start snapping up fleet tracking companies too.

The end result is a hodge podge of various incompatible technologies all requiring cash to run themselves and ALL promise to be profitable in the future, but not today.

Should have just stuck with telecom and make that the best it could be. Now Verizon is spread too thin financially and has no focus.

You're definitely wrong about 5G service being years away.
