Verizon will announce with the cuts the combining of Yahoo + AOL = "OATH" a tv streaming package service coming this summer. The slogan is "Take The Oath"

This will be the distraction...

Seems all sale reps are safe for now but commissions will change again to weed out the bottom feeders, also less pay out for commissions to satisfy investors. VZW will not make a profit this year due to the "free everything" that began in 2014. Remember when the housing market crashed? The satuaration of customers across carriers has began to flip flop the numbers. Last year VZW lost 1.3 million customers just from porting out. A reduction in staff will be announced on Thursday. DM's, SM's, combining districts, C stores to indirects, IT staff reduced, district trainers, in store SMB, & a hard stop on new store builds. GM's across the board have meetings on Wednesday to be coached on how to handle.

Also... hiring freeze will prevent anyone that will being cut from applying within the organization unless the individual shows a real need in the business and must be approved by director. Individuals will not be allowed to reapply for a minimum of 6 months. Severel call centers will be closing but not until Q3.

Typically you are automatically vested if you receive a severance package.

@1tdk BAM is a Businees Account Manager. They are store support staff but are not specifically based out of a store location.

I'm curious how reliable this is when most of the positions listed aren't current vzw positions. What is a a BAM in store support? Most of the others haven't been the titles in years.

A level stores still exist...only the pay structure changed for managers within those locations to make it easier to transfer around without having to worry about loss in compensation during a transfer.

Soooooo is BAM in store rep the same as an SMB Specialist?

by

Post ID: @qyr+MDGFxl0

No more A level locations so all locations nationwide going to 2 SMs. Some stores will be closing or converting to Indirect. DMs are leaking info tonight so look for more updates.

Thats prob a level A store with a great team because generally a strong SS will make more than a SM, and a-- that kills it can make more the a GM if their essentially windfalled every month along with overtime and sunday pay

120 as an SM? Who are you blowing? Your making too much money. Better take a step back because they'll severance you next!

How do you make 120k as a SM!? Sounds like you already found out where to get on your knees lmao

Where do I get down on my knees at then?! I make 120k a year as Solutions Managers! Won't find that at ATT!

It makes no sense to get rid of the SMB spec position, since they've recently added a bunch of those positions.

Here's how they will select what SMs they are keeping. Whoever gets on the knees the best if you know what I mean. If you don't think that's not going on between GMs, SMs, and DMs you are crazy too. Some have left the company before they were exposed.

Heard from someone today that they began telling people that they are done 5/5. Praying for those on the chopping block

I'm guessing they meant SMB spec?

I would assume in-store BAM support would be SMB Retail Specialists? I could be wrong

Post ID: @czp+MDGFxl0

the BAM instore - I think they mean the Retail to Business team members that support multi retail stores, previously they could go out into the field for meetings. They were moved back to an in store only "business rep" in Jan with the launch of the new 1-25 SMB team on the B2B side.

Haha as and a giant middle finger, they have a hiring freeze on sales reps so even if an RSS wanted to slide over to sales, they can't. That's just dirty

Wonder how they will choose the SM's that get the ax. On merit or tenure....

Post ID: @auz+MDGFxl0

Depending on where you are, some districts have as few as 5 stores and some have as many as 8-10. I could see that being a smart move to increase the amount of stores per district to eliminate redundancy within DMs, OPs, and Floaters

Post ID: @sgc+MDGFxl0

I wonder if you are not closing stores, how would districts merge? More stores per district?

by
| | Reply
Post ID: @ugq+MDGFxl0

Sounds like 2 SM's per store. Any more than 2 and the extras will be cut.

Post ID: @egc+MDGFxl0

@eus I understand what the ASM title was. It's the Solutions Managers. I was referring to the wording on how that position will be impacted. They stated only locations with 3+ will see a change but then it says "2-3 position" eliminated. Is that referring to 2-3 SM's per district?

The hiring freeze on RSR's might be because they will try and fill those with impacted RSS people.
