I was told by a management person in finance that I had to fill out the survey after I told her I didn't want to

Just click through it without answering any questions, you'll get the thanks for speaking the survey page and you can show that to anyone who wants proof you took it.

if you are on a team with multiple people and you keep your language neutral they will not know it is you. They CAN identify you though if your manager manages different groups becasue they subdivide the comment categories. If you are the only person with your title on a team they pretty much will know it is you. If ten of you have the same title then they have no idea.

to the OP who posted as a store manager. Your chain of command may be singular on evaluations but after working closely with various management over 20 years, I have seen management get "dinged" because of less than 100% participation from their staff. So yes, it does happen

Whoever @M9eZruu-bop is, he/she nailed it, completely. Read that comment if you haven't already.

I have been very honest on these surveys and I have never heard anything about it. I do know the managers see the comments since they were shown to us in a meeting once, but there were no names or uuid's involved. We saw the same email that the boss saw and opened up in a meeting with the comments. I have never heard anyone that has felt anything negative come back to them and some have done the same as me with their answers. They gave us one survey, after they called us in a meeting and said that 60% would be laid off in 2020, we all answered that we would not recommend our family or friends to come work here since they told us they were laying off so many. I think the number is down to 33% now but that is a lot of people.

They can't force you, but they will retaliate if you don't do it. Also, be very careful of what you say on there, too. They will get rid of you if you're not positive enough.

I love how employee appreciation week is right before the surveys come out. All the more reason to score ATT low.

Just enter all ones. Better than getting harassed about the survey.

I respond to United Way every year with a donation of zero. My money goes elsewhere and Randy gets to take no credit for it.

yah gotta love the "its voluntary"....kinda like the united way campaign garbage each year, yet they hound you like a dog on a hunt to have you participate.

toxic corporate culture

They do not track numerical answers back to individuals, but your managers do see the comments. So if you are always saying you are "peeved" and a comment says "I am peeved at my manager", bingo, there is an obvious connection.

Middle management is held accountable to some degree for the results, but of course all the important decisions, like staffing, budgets and outsourcing, are made by upper management. Middle management is supposed to tamp down the disconnect and get everyone to put on a smiling face, work still harder and submit positive answers to the survey.

It is the system and culture Randy and his gang have in place, it screws everyone downstream and shifts blame from their crappy decisions down to those lazy, ungrateful workers, the people who actually do the work that keeps this company operating.

Randy cares zero for the people who do the work in this company, they are just pawns to be manipulated and moved around. But I think they may be starting to worry that they are cutting too close to the bone and that it may have an impact on their next bonus or the golden parachute, especially if they get loud, bad press that affect the stock price or the dividends.

I suspect Randy will be out the door with his tens of millions if the TW deal fails. Where else but upper corporate management do you get that kind of reward for abject failure.

All due respect......yes, the powers that be would like 100% participation, however, I have been brutally honest over the last 9 years, I have never received any push back from the feedback, never received any hostility from my feedback, nor have I ever heard this affecting managers payouts or pay. at least in COR. As a manger, I constantly inform my employees that they have an opportunity to be heard, never force, never scrutinize the feedback. They must be some really shady, lying and incompetent leaders out there running stores.

This survey has never impacted my raises, payouts or anything. I don't even know what this performance bonus people refer to even is. I get a raise each year, that's it.

ENPS has never truly been optional. But if you're going to fill it out, be truthful and professional.

Well all know by now that the survey is useless, nothing changes, in fact in my department when the results are in we get retaliated against for being too honest. But yes, they force you to do it, cuz it does affect management pay if they don't get 100% participation.

Management wants all to do this because it is part of their evaluation They get dinged if not 100% and affects their performance bonus. Of course, then the "dog and pony" show for Stephenson doesn't look as pretty
