Anyone have any real facts or info about the new Home Consultant position? I've read the job description , but nobody in leadership can answer aany questions about this job. The base pay stinks from what I've heard, but if anyone has actually done this job ( trial markets) I'd love to hear some input as I've got a decision to make, thanks in advance!

Its not 1B, it's the same as asm, except the base pay is way less and at risk higher, no OT, just another way to lower your pay so when they lay you off your severance will be less. Funny that people coming from 1B positions are being offered less than RSCs taking the job, yet ARSMs get more money to make the move and do less than they already do. Stay away is my advice.
It's only a 1B so they don't have to pay OT the base is pathetic
My understanding it's a test position and is being used to see if it can actually make money. It's also being used to try and pull full time RSCs from their spots as they are trying to eliminate full time positions.
Those door to door sales people are a joke. Lying to people and telling them you have fiber optic to your house now! No sir it's still 1945 era cable!
1B is RSM pay not ASM
sounds literally like one of the worst jobs ever. go to someone's house, hope its not Jigsaw or Hannibal Lecter and then sit with someone who's either mentally ill, smelly, elderly or all three, for hours on end talking about their TV service or cell phone.
Probably be gone in the next few years

You essentially go to people's homes after they install DTV or Uverse and try to sell more things by connecting everything from phones to digital life.
If the customer ends up going to the store within 30 days or something you get credit.
I could see room for some major exploitation in the begining and easy money.
Pay is supposed to be 1B so same as a ASM now.
Stay away from a disposable position like that, don't waste your time

Home consultant ... What a joke
My RSM just took the position here in the Northeast. It's legit and they want to expand it dramatically...however it's longevity is hard to say? A few years?
