That dreadful bunch of Directors in Global Real Estate should all loose their jobs!
1fjn you couldn't be more correct, except the fact is the amount of useless unnecessary overpaid schlubs at the director level goes WAY beyond just finance. Verizon director level is probably the most useless group of employees in America. Every one i deal with is more worthless than the last. They could all be cut without creating the slightest blip on the business.
Any updates for Basking Ridge Finance or Marketing for tomorrow? I hope we are still getting our bonuses.
I'm guessing 50%. The historic losses aren't going unnoticed. The best and most fair course of action would be to simply emilimate bonuses for senior managers and up.

Q4 revenue is so horrific...So atrocious..So unprecedented that retail locations will be closed en masse. And Verizon is in such bad financial shape that bonuses will be impacted..

Cut all of the excess directors in wireless. Way too many in basking ridge HQ especially in finance.
@1hrz - How did you volunteer? You just straight up told your director if there are cuts, I will go? What was that conversation like?
Our group's Director visited the office today. Last time he was here was the famous Fall '15 cuts. I volunteered to be on the cut list, could use the severance. Sick of being a 'metric manager', I just want to fix broken stuff again.
1-27 rumor is we will be offering a new plan starting friday. The hope is to confuse customers more. None of this can be confirmed
I know many of the impacted call centers shut down operations on Friday. But they were notified before Christmas.
I think many of the rumors come from the timing of Friday 1/27 and Monday 1/30. Technically Monday is the last day to get someone off payroll in Q1 with 60 days notice, But notification on Friday would give you some extra time to notify everyone which is what they have done in the past. So people have to think something is going to go down on these dates.
I have heard A LOT of rumors regarding this date, all pertaining to the wireless side and mostly retail. But I have nothing confirmed.
All I know is if nothing happens on 1/27, I'm out of here. I've spent months worrying about this Friday. I survived the cuts last fall to the operations & experience specialist positions. I live on as an RSS. I think I'm safe but who knows
