I haven't heard crap about the soon expiring (2/11) orange contract. All I've seen is they are in 'the fight for a fair contract'. Anyone hear anything lately or even know if they are going to resign this thing? Or should we start counting down the days to surplus?

The CWA is fighting for you every minute...well at least every hour.......well maybe every few days......ok so when they get around to it....someday...ok ok as soon as the dues are raised.
Ok CWA cares less unless the dues are affected.

25th is when we start
I don't see how reps won't be surpluses as they will be closing sm1 stores and even some sm2.
So who knows...SSR have a call in feb about taking on a more customer facing roll and basically replacing the duties of the DSC and asms that are getting layed off
That is correct bargaining cannot begin until the 25th.
Bargaining for an agreement doesn't start until the end of this month. I think they start discussing the 25th of January.
