Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T in response to the FCC merger demands, returned to BAU having won concessions never delivered

It’s getting tougher to be a telephonic dinosaur, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said in the new FCC filings

The latest blow arrived last week when the Missouri Public Service Commission let AT&T cancel “lifeline” discounts for poor and disabled people with landline phones.

AT&T said in its filing with the PSC. That i85 percent of people don't have landline service

It seems even the poor and disabled are following the great migration to wireless phone service, where lifeline discounts are still offered, for now

The AT&T, Deal Follows a Decade of mismanagement , This conscious coupling and uncoupling is more a testament to the ever changing landscape , lack of innovation and a perpetual last quarter financial ritual to stockholders, even rewinding more than thirty years with the breakup of the telecommunications monopoly Bell System, otherwise known as Ma Bell back, this justice Department is looking for the creation of a new type of monopoly, the destruction of Equal access before our eyes if the merger is approved

Ripe for Google to buy. Now that would be an acquisition worth getting behind.

Wow, that was a rough week for big T, a broken DirecTV now, FCC's charge on Net Neutrality, Trump and the merger, the Mexican wireless venture going bust, DTV retail out the door for the most part, the ghost fibre deployment news, and now they seem desperate looking for cash all pver the place , those that can’t get enough wireless data. Or, I guess I should say a rough week for those consumers that really love wireless data and are tied to that access
