HR is a corrupt place ,how they can justify by disposing such a big percentage of people and replaced them with newbies is beyond me

This sounds like clear discrimination, I hope these people are doing something about it.

Not surprisingly, our Area manager got rid off 8 coworkers in our team of 20, in retaliation for them trying to communicate their concerns to her, or " her failures i say", all the targeted coworkers were in their , 50s, served more than 20 years to the company, had the highest salaries in our team, accomplished professionals with engineering degrees. the week afer they left, she replaced them with new employees with no experience.

For a supervisor without college degree this is the new reality at AT&T today....

@1bp..nailed it!!! Always stay looking even with a job. And keep your mindset entrepreneurial with a w2 or 1099/corp 2 corp. you are your own brand. Put your brand above whatever commitment to T or any other org you think you should have.

For many of us though, we quickly learn either through layoffs, bad bosses, that the companies we work for aren't looking out for us. We learn the double standard of giving two weeks notice when we quit, even though the company can lay us off any time they choose with no warning. but it's a reminder that you are your best ally.

Human Resources and recruiters are Not There to Protect You, They're There to Protect the Company and their interest, few examples are maintaining low wage environment and age displacement, such are high in their priorities, your new year resolution Never Stop Looking for Work, Especially After You Land a New Job

welcome to the slagheap of success, where corporate America dumps successful, highly paid employees that helped them make millions thru the years.
