Merger is a dead

The latest reports on the data breach revelations at Yahoo, suggest that the company lost data for more than one billion users as far back as August 2013 and that the data is suspected to contain names, email addresses, hashed passwords, security questions and associated answers. In addition, Yahoo has stated that the attackers have accessed Yahoo proprietary code used to generate cookies for user access without credentials.

If all they cut is $200 million like this article suggests then... I would not give them $1B for 10% of their market value which is what they are purchasing for the original price, see second link.

Old news and there has been no official announcement although they should back out of deal. Yahoo is still holding onto the the idea that the merger will happen and if history around the place has any say, they will go through with this bad idea. Hacked twice and the code is out there on the dark web but company still contemplating. They won't be happy until we have a major data breach by bringing in Yahoo.
