Usually when they ask everyone to log off the phones in a call center for a meeting it can't be good.

I watched the town hall yesterday, and instead of using the term consolidation or reorganization, they used the words finding cost saving measures through re-architecture in 2017. Randall even said he believed the Trump effect would actually benefit the business on all financial levels. He was probably just trying to kiss up to him, in order to get the Time Warner deal passed, which he said would be his number one priority in 2017. If that fails? Who knows. I guess they will then decrease their mobility charges to customers and try and gain back the many millions of them they have lost.
If you go back a ways, someone asked how they notify the floor about a surplus, just trying to understand the logistics of it, and they said it would be scheduled for all as a town hall or meeting (I don't remember which now) and everyone would log off to attend at the same time.
Who cares, I tipically browse my facebook account during these calls, what a waste !!
Maybe this town hall is your surplus notice. Log off phone means these reps are on phone taking calls as they come in. What center was told to watch town hall?
Since many of us are staffed in a way that it was impossible to watch this, what was said?
Never heard of request like that before.....interesting. I have meeting with customer and won't be able to attend.
What center are you at? Mobility or Uverse? Business or consumer?
What does your org do? What does "log off phone" mean?
