they are probally getting rid of business agents 2017 seeing how "Business leads" were CRUCIAL last month (weekly or else you were written up) and this month the managers are making us cold call those business leads. Makes me depressed, I left my old job (cold calls) to have a face to face experience. Taking my stock out of att and waiting for my severance to go back to school. Company is going to dog sh**

Having me do the same thing i take the 3 hours to pretrnd im making calls on my bluetooth. I AM NOT A TELEMARKETER. The time i am taken off yhe floor to do this I am losing a potential business account or DirecTV.
You would still get a severance package though correct?
Don't volunteer to be severenced. You will be leaving voluntarily and will not be able to get unemployment for 6 months in most states (unless you really can't stand the sinking ship environment anymore). You will be asked to leave immediately and won't get two months pay to look for another job within company.
I am over my qouta EVERY month and am #1 rep at my store EVERY year. I even hit my business quota. I hate cold calling and I'm starting to hate AT&T
@1ecl are you under the orange contract? What part of the contract says this??
@pml- the cold calling has nothing to do with not meeting your goals for biz or otherwise , it's another new " company initiative " to gain more appointments for biz reps, you know, those who sit home all day collecting money off what we sell in COR? And per some union contracts, RSCs do NOT have to telemarket. It's not required even if your lazy manager tells you it is, read your union contract, you do not have to, at least in my neck of the woods, you can if you want to, but don't have to. What a bad time to be part of this company. I hope the big wigs are happy with their expense accounts, fancy houses and big bonus checks while the rest of us have to look for new jobs. Happy new year

you must not be meeting or exceeding your quota if you are doing cold calling? Waiting on a severance will on hold you a few months depending on your tenure. Good luck with that!
Cold calling blows. Isn't that the biz reps job? Let's see how cor gets screwed soon. Even if they sign a new union contract, I BET you rep pay will never equal biz rep pay. Ready to ride this sinking ship to the bottom, severance please.
