Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

NAE / RAE's Call to action!

Let's make sure everyone knows whats going on here instead of the hush hush atmosphere they are choosing to take. Tell your doors what is really happening, tell your local media, submit emails to local news affiliates to get coverage. The company wants this to be quiet like July but this is now much bigger. They used us to get through the holidays only to pull the rug out from us yesterday. Spread the word that these corporate dirt bags need to be held accountable. I'm in Michigan..where are you?

Looks like AT&T is following Verizon's footsteps with cutting COR employees and only AR doors. I've been with the company for 26 years and was hoping to retire at 30. Looks like that's not going to happen. The real reason is they are trying to recoup the $ they spent to buy out DTV and now the $85 billion for Time Warner. So much for the people that have been loyal and put their heart and soul into the company. Guess business is more important than affecting people's lives.

Its not a matter of "some" jobs being eliminated its about a complete channel being eliminated. This changes the way we do business.

Some people are stupid! Media coverage for WHAT! This is what happens, jobs change and can get eliminated at any time. Stop being lazy, grow up, and go look for another job like a big boy instead of trying to expose a company you don't own.

Check some of the other posts. Looks like AT&T is moving to almost a non existent corporate retail footprint. RSC & SSR are next as Union contracts come up. They want to let AR handle everything. I had some idea that was the vision which is why I thought my RAE position was safe. I can't believe this happened. I wanted to retire with AT&T. How long have they wanted to be "employee focused" with all these engagement surveys. I gave this company my life for over a decade. Now what?

AT&T have continually layoff thousands of people since 2007, what May you think they would like to stop the trend?

@trump at twitter isn't going to help. Get the facts and support and expose at a legal level as well as social media. Come on people, actions speak louder than complaining on a blog.

So most are just now waking up to what has been going on in the company? I wonder why people always think it will be the other guy. Ohio here and we are going down 10 to 18 percent per our VP.
