Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

How many of you worked off the clock for endless amount of hours doing observations and ASM work?

I'm just wondering how many of you also were expected to do unrealistic amount of daily documentation and had to take it home with you unpaid? If I requested OT then I was coached to not prioritizing my time while on the clock.

I was expected to perform 6-8 observations on sales reps each day. How long does an average interaction last 30min to an hour and a half. It's unrealistic to ask for that many observations then take the employee for 30-45 min to coach them on what you just saw. In a 9 hour day it's impossible to catch the beginning of the interaction 6-8 times and coach all of them. Then type it up in legal format. Many ASM's had to watch and coach the entire 9-10 hours a day and leave the typing when you are home. Otherwise you were put on write up. Don't you dare ask to be clocked in for those hours because then you will be targeted and coached out. I know many who have had to do this and I also worked for many RSM's who indirectly required this from me.

why would you work while at home off the clock if not requested to do so?

AT&T's culture of expecting you to work and be available 24/7 is absolutely disgusting. RSM's, ASM's ect throughout the company are expected to be available via phone, text, email, tchat 24/7 and if you actually have some sense and "turn off" when you're not working it is looked down on. We don't do charity work for AT&T we are here to get paid so if you are ever working and get pushback about having your time adjusted accordingly then I would escalate the issue quickly and reference the FSLA time reporting nonsense they make us take every year that CLEARLY states all worked time must be reported and paid weather pre approved or not.

And the company didnt mind spending money on tshirts that would only be used once (directv Now launch) or tshirts that would only be use for a month. But they want to cut the ASM postion that already has a ton dumped on them.

Many of us, expected to work around the clock completing absurd Time cycles SLA's, or get a bad performance review

I know as a rep I hardly ever get 15 min breaks and sometimes don't even get lunches. Now, we will be even more short handed. I love both of our ASM's they are awesome. It brings down the morale of the store. I imagine we are next.
