Re: AT&T Surplus Notification Letter
Throughout the past several weeks we have been evaluating certain business units within the AT&T family of companies. After a thorough and careful review, we have determined that the position which you currently hold will be eliminated. This is due to a reduction in positions within your level and organization. As a result of this decision, you will be placed on surplus status, effective the day following the date that appears at the top of this letter, and you may receive severance benefits if you meet the eligibility criteria.
The following resources are provided for your reference:

• A customized General Release & Waiver (GR&W) − Action Required
• A customized Severance Pay Computation (not applicable to Puerto Rico) – Information Only

• Request to Defer Severance Allowance − Action May be Required
• Preliminary Election of the Management Transition Program (MTP) Option − Action May be Required

These resources are available to you online via the Nonbargained Surplus Employee website (NSG website).
To register for access to this site, click Register. You will be provided a user ID that is unique to this site and you will be asked to create a password. When you have completed the registration process, you may access the documents via the NSG website. Once you are logged in, select the Surplus Employee Checklist. Then select Update Personal Data. You’ll be asked to provide your personal email address, which is necessary in order to acknowledge your General Release & Waiver online. Once you’ve completed these initial steps, you will be able to access all the necessary resources from an AT&T work location, your home, or other external location. This site will remain accessible to you for up to 97 days following your last day on payroll. Detailed instructions related to the registration process and accessing the NSG website are attached to this letter.
In light of their importance, you must access the resources listed above within one week of the date of this letter.
