@2jpo - If you were impacted, I hope you find greener pastures.

I work in Wireline with Enterprise Solutions. We were hit today with layoffs... The STI was 80% this year.... Last year it was 100% // lots of automation with our processes... Lots of acquisitions and of course Verizon is gonna cut cut when profits dip... Definitely losing a lot of intellectual capital today... God bless and good luck if you were impacted...

Digital media? What exactly do we have in digital media that is making substantial profit? The standards for ATSC 3.0 will be released in April. Broadcasters got fat off the money the wireless players are paying into reverse spectrum auctions. We are dragging our feet on any sort of iptv technology. The 5G deployment is over budget and mediocre at best. Fios areas have low penetration and high amounts of disgruntled customers. IT is a cluster f@ck because of India. Wireless is losing the war with Legere.

Go90 is a cluster f@ck. DSL broadband is now akin to dialup in the 1990's. Yeah, better matters, just not here.

1st Qtr is only just about halfway done and this fool talks about massive rif in 2nd Qtr...... guess he/she is assuming another dismal Qtr is in the works and rif's will be the way to profits in future qtrs....lol. I'd look for continued press into digital media and a spinoff of wireline/wireless to a standalone entity

Those are the benefits to be unionized , also older folks with seniority will remain put, while others scramble, loving it!!

I'm sure it is, but saying a massive RIF is coming in Q2 is kind of like saying Lowell is an a$$hole. Everyone knows this...

Specifics would be useful.
