Was told we can't and I find no information on opting in/out

In response to the poster that attempted to belittle by saying "Why be so worried......" know that some reps would prefer to be available for customer walk-ins. Walk-ins actually come into the store to acquire our services or have our service as opposed to interrupting people's lives with an unsolicited sales pitch. If you come into our store for any reason it's in the customers best interest to make them aware of all our offers. Did you ever make cold calls? Many prospective customers would prefer to work during work hours or connect to their family while eating dinner instead of speaking to sales rep on an unsolicited phone call or you get "I have at&t" and then you become the billing complaint department. That's why there is a no call list law in place. The percentage of closing a sale is much higher when customers come into our store than dialing for appointments and hoping your Sm Biz rep follows up. We have steep quotas to meet - I'd rather depend on my own ability to close a sale with my customer in front of me than being a Small Biz reps' personal assistant doing their grunt work. That's why I took a position in retail sales and not in phone sales. Some will do what they need to do to succeed - others will follow and hope the leader doesn't write them up for having lower opps/accessories/protection/home products than those who refused to sit on the phone soliciting random businesses. How many carpet cleaning people called you in the past 6 months? How many times did you use them to clean your carpets?

CSP 542121, required training for the Ultimate Prospector, but states, voluntary RSC participation when it comes to actually calling.

Why be so worried about not doing the calls when you could potentially earn some business by doing them? Makes no sense.

Screen captured it just in case they try and pull the insubordination card.

look up "ultimate prospector" in csp, it's the first sentence under "what I need to know". If a manager lies and tells you it's mandatory it's a COBC . they can't lie to you about something being madatory when it's optional.

I believe it's in the CSP article for the prospecting tool that it's a completely optional process.
