Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Rsc are next on the chopping block.

From a reliable source, RSC's in our area need to be reduced by 20%, our traffic has decreased by 30%. Look around you how many reps are standing around, how long is the line of reps, any profitable company knows that being overstaffed is counterproductive.

You will be pressured, ARSM and RSM need to have at least 40% of the RSC's on discipline. 25% of those need to be progressed, so do the math. They say asm to rep ratio needs to be between 10:1 to 12:1 it's going to be a rough ride.

RSSM is coming back, i know that for a fact.

Point system was the supposed to help get more people fired due to the lack of RSSM, but it didn't work out as planned. That's why they go so hard on time edits for managers trying to help reps out.

Attendance system is getting tweaked and more days added to metime is supposedly on the table to be presented to the union if they agree to allow the company to hold low performers more accountable. The issue the RSSM had was it was always the lowest 20% in the area regardless of their performance. From what I heard they wanted it to be 20% of any metric now, which is crazy.

Due to the current climate I won't name what market i'm in, however this statement is in fact; TRUE. They're bringing back RSSM but in a much more progressive way. RSC's who preform will be quote-un-quote "safe " for the time being. Those who are constantly ranked at the bottom will be but on a aggressive action plan and couched out. YOU NEED TO SHOW GREEN ACROSS THE BOARD!!! Pay attention to your managers hovering and submitting observations, these will be your saving grace or worst enemy. It doesn't matter if you've been with the company 10 years or ten days, if you do not preform...let's just not cross that bridge.
