Sorry to hear about your loss, new beginnings. Can you share what your position was?
Good luck

My VP called me into a fake mtg. When HR walked in I knew it was over. Read a prepared speech got up and walked out of the room. No matter what you won't see it coming.
The complete and accurate description of the process brought back memories. To the sheeple who wonder why the company hasn't "been honest" this is the honesty you refuse to hear.
Quickly, watch the movie Up in the Air (George Clooney, Anna Kendrick, Vera Farmiga). It's like that.
Today is probably the big day based on HR meeting yesterday. Your VP will come to your desk and ask you to join them in a conference room. HR will already be in that room. You will look at your manager in disgust as he reads a prepared statement. You will get a brief overview of the benefits on the way out and that will be it. You will be on your way home in no time. You will feel violated and betrayed. If you are lucky enough to not be in the current layoffs, sit tight because your number is getting much closer to getting called in the next round.
Soon Follett will have no staff to do the work. Do you think middle management or senior staff will do it? I know my boss won't. He had a consultant do his job. Not only that, the consultant knew what was happening and upped his rates.
Please pick me!!
They call you into a BS meeting. If you see an HR rep, run.
