You have received your 60 day letter. There is just one reason to leave, and that is you have secured and started your new job.

You absolutely must use your last 60 days as additional severance.

Surplused in TX

After 2 decades of dedicated service with near perfect attendance, I was notified today that AT&T no longer needs me. I need some guidance from anyone in TX that has gone through severance/unemployment. Can I get unemployment and severance and if I agree to leave early and not look for a job within AT&T, will that disqualify me for unemployment? I really don't want to waste what's left of my working life working for a company that you can never really feel safe at.
