Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

An uncertain future for Many

AT&T is perfect example of mergers and acquisitions, that kill jobs, that grow alongside the increase of corporations taking tax credits whith stealth layoff to avoid taxes, all for shareholders benefits.

I have seen so many talented professionals shown the door inthe last 7 years, through offshoring our country is going to continue to feel the repercussions with more layoffs, and less tax revenue to go to our deteriorating infrastructure, public health, schools and local communities.

We will continue to see an increase of taxes on the middle and lower class as they are burdened for the sake of these companies and the wealthy to maintain their "competitive edge." But this is the issue no one wants to confront. With the continued trends of corporate tax evasion and corporate consolidations, we are going to continue to have a lack of good paying jobs, a lack of competition, and a shrinking middle-class with limited choices for their consumer needs,

Our modern society resembles our founders economic system in name only.

No jobs, no middle class, no one to buy the goods that are produced.

"att is tired of humans taking advantage of the system"?

You mean Randy and his cronies?

Or do you mean the people who actually do the work in the company?

What system is that? Capitalism that puts people on the street, makes health care a privilege and rewards the management toadies whose main skill is s---ing up?

I suspect the comments in this forum are hitting some sensitive spots, the incidence of slimy trolls seems to be increasing.

At&T is not a person, it is an artificial legal construct created for the purpose of creating profits for a few.

experience doesn't matter anymore . wake up you are becoming obsolete with artificial intelligence self correction software taking your high paying jobs. att is tired of humans taking advantage of the system. artificial intelligence and wireless technology are reliable sources and don't b--ch and complain all the time. time for you to look for another job. this only applies to people that take their jobs for granted.

Amen to that. Experience doesn't seem to count regardless of WF2020 traing you take. Also, Watch out for peers who sit on leadership teams discussing who is ready to leave company and lie to save their own positions putting you in jeopardy of being surplused.
