I was out for 2 months on a WC injury.....no loss in seniority for me
I have been on several surgery related leaves and as long as it is leave for myself, short term disability approved, you do not lose seniority.
Who cares, this maneuver works for old timers only, the ones in perpetual disability
Yes you do, I just talked with IDSC yesterday. But it only counts when a surplus is happening
I was out on disability for 13 weeks due to knee surgery. I was healed long before that, but HR would not let me come back on light duty as the doctor had suggested. I lost 2 weeks seniority. I received a letter from the company informing me of this. The explanation for the loss of 14 days seniority was that it was based upon "continuous service".
I beleive the only time you loose seniority is for a Leave of absence, unless military related/deployed, may be wrong though
