Anyone know who is handling the outplacement? How can local DFW companies that are hiring get in touch with them?

There were 20 experienced IT associates in my batch of pink slip ! there were many of these kind of meetings today , they can hire 2 H1 contractor for one of employee salary . Binge hiring was there for some time , bad technology spending, bad technology management in the name of innovation !!! How can they employ any H1 temporary contractor when they show tax paying citizens the door ?? Companies should publish their immigrant worker number /job posting every quarter . Now What's in your wallet?

Plano cuts are imminent. Possibly very large. Mortgage and servicing probably.

The US Card Partnership team just did a re-org - about 15% of the employees within the group were laid off; this also impacted a number of higher-ups.

I was recently placed in redeployment along with a colleague on the same team. Networking conversations that I have begun to have indicate others have also and a common theme seems to be a longer tenure with the company...my tenure is 18 years. My colleague's is slightly longer.

I have been told to start looking for another position, like a month ago, but the redeployment is not yet official and they say it is not imminent but start looking....it's mostly about automation and out sourcing and so many systems and apps have changed that they don't need as much man power. I hear another, 3 levels above me, is feeling the squeeze as well. She works remotely from another state. I experienced a re org last year and several folks were let go, higher ups, and then there was a mass exodus of managers. All of this is in the area of Finance.

No updates for now, yet 200 views. This means people are searching for the info but nobody is wanting to share. I see other boards, they are super busy but here @ Capital One's board it's all crickets.
