Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

This used to be a good firm

I remember the times when this used to be a good place to work in. Nowadays its just awful. The management cares only about bottom line. Saving a penny on the workers account changed everything. Outsourcing is on the one end of it, but that's not the only problem. In 9 out of 10 cases, if someone leaves, position will not be refilled. And you end up working two jobs for the same pay.

ESC has offshired to Costa Rica. They are not qualified HR professionals just some poor mug sat behind a telephone. Treating HR like it's some customer service with untrained personnel who are even less familiar with your country (USA/ Canada) laws and can never help you, or respond in a timely manner. Way to go Fiserv!

I work there and management is still horrible. One manager in my division constantly threatens to demote or fire you (4 times last week myself) and your bullied into working extra time because they can't staff correctly. Several people have gone to HR about him and yet nothing is done...of course now a days the only thing HR does seem to do is say call the ESC line.

Nothing changed employees here are bullied and cornered to their existing career and sidelined. Employee is made to leave on their own by this way. So that they are not liable to pay redundency pay.

I left on my own in 2011 and it was bad even then. I had many friends, good people who got sick from working at that place. I cannot say it's bad in all groups or under all managers but my experience was fairly bad and I am sorry I ever went to work there in the first place.

I hope all improves and all folks that I've left behind figure out the best career paths

Fiserv Europe is much worse than the USA. Bullying and intimidating culture, blame culture.

People don't stay long and the ones who do stay are only there because of the fear of leaving not because the Company is good to them.
