How does the TW takeover raise "real concerns" about pay TV options, when the takeover has nothing to do with Time Warner Cable? TWC is owned by CHARTER, not TW.

@hfc... Att's list of FCC fines/infractions aren't short from robo calls to a huge 911 sanction. There's teams in place just to manage these issues w/in t. It's likely that the deal could be shot down just on unkept promises alone. The FCC isn't the phone police they do rely on self regulation and a sort of honor code that appears to not exist when no ones looking. It's all being well noted.

"We've been skeptical about the AT&T-DirecTV merger from the beginning, and now with the proposed TW takeover, It raises real concerns about the consolidation of pay TV options in markets where AT&T and DirecTV already offer competing service

Remember In approving the AT&T-DirecTV merger, the FCC imposed several conditions, including a requirement that AT&T increase its fiber-broadband service, offer super-fast gigabit service to eligible schools and libraries within its footprint, provide discounted Internet service to low-income households, and count its own video services under any broadband data caps, and to submit its interconnection agreements for review by both internal and independent compliance monitors, to date none of those requirements were honor, or enforced by the dumb FCC

Let's pray for a miracle, that is exactly what T needs, long term unlikely would be a success
