Whatever happened to "the 44" from Pennsylvania that were laid off and now they have apparently been replaced with part-time workers? How many of those 44 got hired back with Verizon on a full-time basis? If you're one of "the 44" please let us know what the union did for you.

44 is a small amount compared to 40k that went on strike.
And if only 44 lost their job out of the 40k, that's still better than 95% of all the 6 call centers that wireless is closing, or the 6k that lost jobs last year. And what about the retail/b2b positions that just got cut .
I'll take union all day than be part of at will.
Nothing in life is fair. If the company had it's way it would be 44 times many.
Nothing is ever perfect, but it's much better to be organized then not. Of course the OP knows that, just another anti union post. When we accept the fact that not everything goes our way we become better people.
