IEFS Technicians (Prem Techs)

I heard IEFS Technicians might get a early retirement or buyout package.

Yeah no OT for the past year. Talks about 32 hr workweeks happening soon. Usually realesed by noon and then milk the cow for the rest. Doesn't make sense that DTV contractors have tons of work but our VP did say we will not get rid of contractors.

Where are you located? Must not be in the Midwest. I'm a premise tech too and our garage as well as every other garage in our city asks for 10 techs to go home daily..I don't know of anyone that's ever had 20hrs OT in one week around here.

I'm a Premise Tech. I work 20-30 hours O.T. per week, indispensable may be too strong of a word, but we ain't going nowhere soon.

Does this mean Prem Tech surpluses coming soon? Our VP said we are overstaffed because of the projections that were made for 2016.

I've never met a retirement eligable prem tech. As for a VSP, could be possible since there are few positions available to them if they are surplussed.
